Typically a single headshot can easily be created within an hour. Factors include whether it's inside or outside, along with how much set-up might be required.

Like a number of the other questions... it really depends on what you're wanting / needing. Where we start at the end and work backwards.

Having said that is the question of "Inside?"... with artificial lights, strobes, etc.... or "Outside?" (with the use of natural sunlight, reflectors, etc.)... which is really the question: what is the background?

Is is something natural / outside?

Is it some blurred out cool / simple interior space?

Is is simply black, white, gray, etc?

Do you have a sense of the look and feel you're wanting to co-create? I recommend doing a search for images via Google using keywords for what you're looking — e.g. great head shots, LinkedIn profiles, actor headshots, bio images for websites — and start a folder of images that "speak" to you, that is, in conveying how you want others to feel when they see your headshot.

For places outside, we start with a list of locations that you have a connection with. Your yard? A park? A place you know that feels peaceful? Once there, we find a place where the lighting is great and find the moments we're looking for.

If inside... as I come to you, what interior spaces do you have access to that could be used to achieve the feeling of what you're looking for. A bright room you love to be in? A space to set up backdrop paper if that's the look you're wanting? Other?

First and foremost, something you feel fabulous in. In creating something authentic we want this to reflect who you truly are.

Having said that, we aim to stay away from all white and/or complex patterning.

We advise bringing a couple different favorite outfits with you so we can decide together. 

It's a combination or experience, timing, equipment, and the synergy and flow created between the photographer and woman or man being photographed.

Often, too, people are trying to look good (or not look bad) rather than aspiring to simply be themselves. Which is my goal every time.

There a couple ways to go in terms of having 1, 2, 3, or more "looks" in terms of outfits and locations.

I also offer a branding package that includes a half-day of image creating that includes details of your brand or business.
